Make prints that actually stick.
Block printing on fabric can feel intimidating at first. Even experienced linocut artists can have trouble getting consistent results on cloth.Ā
Over the years, I've carved a lot of blocks, printed on countless pieces of fabric, ruined more than a few tea towels, and learned what actually works. In this course, I'll share those lessons with you so you can spend less time troubleshooting and more time enjoying the craft.
That said, printing takes practice, and every print teaches you something. Give yourself room to experiment, make mistakes, and enjoy it!
Hello! Iām Maude Forbid
I am a lifelong artist with education and practice in several mediums: drawing, painting, multimedia & collage, ceramics, and printmaking. Throughout my long and winding journey in the arts, I found printmaking to be the most wonderful, satisfying, and therapeutic art form. I love how printmaking presents so many opportunities for our personality and individual style to come through. My favorite part of block printing is that it encourages me to create in a slow, intentional way, and I savor all of the moments I find myself immersed in each stage of the process.Ā
In my career as a working artist, I have enjoyed sharing my printmaking knowledge and artwork with people across the globe. I specialize in fabric items because I love art that is affordable, useful, and brings a creative twist into each day.
